Actelis Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: ASNS) has been experiencing considerable stock price fluctuations, highlighted by a recent surge on Monday, March 9, 2026. This upward movement occurs despite the absence of immediate, specific corporate news. The company's stock activity appears to be a continuation of the erratic trading patterns observed in the previous week, drawing significant investor attention.

The catalyst for the prior week's volatility was an announcement on the preceding Wednesday that Actelis secured a contract with the California Department of Transportation. This agreement pertains to a highway modernization project in San Mateo County, a development that initially sent Actelis shares soaring by over 250%.

Under the terms of this contract, Actelis Networks will deploy its MetaLight hybrid fiber-copper networking technology. This infrastructure is crucial for supporting traffic signal and monitoring systems, forming a component of a larger $120 million initiative aimed at enhancing transportation infrastructure.

However, the euphoria was short-lived. Following a midweek rally, the stock experienced a sharp downturn, plummeting by more than 33% on March 5. This decline was triggered by a definitive proxy statement filed by the company after the market closed on Wednesday. The filing disclosed plans for a special shareholder meeting scheduled for April 13. During this meeting, shareholders will vote on a proposal to issue additional common shares through an equity line of credit with White Lion Capital. Furthermore, a reverse stock split, ranging from 1-for-10 to 1-for-25, is also on the agenda. Company management has indicated that these measures are essential for facilitating growth and regaining compliance with Nasdaq listing requirements.

On the most recent Monday, Actelis Networks shares once again demonstrated significant movement, climbing by 28.05% to reach 41 cents at the time of publication. Despite this recent uptick, the stock continues to trade near its 52-week low of 16 cents, as reported by Benzinga Pro data. This persistent volatility underscores the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the company's market performance in the current period.
