Ascension Board Game Enters Middle-earth with Lord of the Rings Adaptation
Justin Gary's Stoneblade Entertainment is launching a Lord of the Rings-themed version of its popular deckbuilding game, Ascension, available for crowdfunding in July. This adaptation incorporates key elements from Tolkien's world, such as factions based on Middle-earth races, a corruption mechanic influenced by the Eye of Sauron, and cooperative gameplay. The series will feature three independent yet combinable sets, each inspired by a book in the trilogy, with plans to potentially explore The Hobbit in the future. The game aims to provide an immersive experience for fans of both Ascension and Lord of the Rings.
