AGBO, the production powerhouse helmed by the acclaimed Russo brothers, is actively enhancing its organizational structure with the strategic recruitment of experienced professionals from leading technology and gaming companies. This move underscores AGBO's commitment to innovation and growth within the entertainment sector, preparing the company for future evolutions in storytelling and audience engagement. With a reinforced leadership team, AGBO is poised to further diversify its creative output and strengthen its presence across various interactive and traditional media platforms.

AGBO Fortifies Executive Ranks with Industry Leaders from Apple, Snap, and Major Gaming Firms

On June 3, 2026, AGBO, the innovative production company co-founded by filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo, along with partners Donald Mustard and Chris Brearton, announced a significant expansion of its leadership team. This strategic move brings in seasoned executives from the technology and gaming industries, aimed at bolstering the company's marketing, technology, and interactive production capabilities. AGBO, known for its diverse portfolio including the "Extraction" franchise, "Everything Everywhere All at Once," and "The Gray Man," is positioning itself for the next generation of entertainment.

Luke Kallis has been appointed President of Marketing and Growth. Kallis, with two decades of experience in audience platform development, is tasked with cultivating direct audience relationships across all media. His impressive background includes key roles at Facebook during its early growth, Vevo during the digital music transition, and Snap, where he contributed significantly to its revenue expansion in the Americas.

Alex Blickenstaff joins AGBO as Vice President of Engineering. Blickenstaff previously spent nearly a decade at Apple, where he was instrumental in developing the data engineering infrastructure for one of the world's largest platforms. At AGBO, he will be responsible for creating the technological framework that integrates the company's linear and interactive business ventures.

Derek Racca steps into the role of Executive Producer, Interactive, with a focus on building AGBO's gaming slate. Racca brings a wealth of experience, having shipped games that have garnered hundreds of millions of players, including titles from major franchises like "Call of Duty," "The Elder Scrolls," "Fallout," "Doom," and "Starfield." He transitions to AGBO from Atomic Arcade, a Wizards of the Coast studio.

Further solidifying its executive team, Matt Davidson has been promoted from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer. Davidson's tenure at AGBO follows a distinguished career, including serving as CFO of Amazon MGM Studios and two decades at MGM, most recently as its CFO.

Chris Brearton, CEO of AGBO, emphasized the significance of these appointments, stating, "We are building AGBO for the industry's next evolution. That requires a cross-disciplinary team of innovative and collaborative leaders. Luke, Alex, and Derek bring expertise in storytelling, audience growth, and interactive entertainment, helping us reach audiences wherever they are. Matt's promotion to chief operating officer strengthens our leadership team with the financial and operational discipline to match our ambition."

The company's enhanced leadership team arrives as AGBO prepares to participate in SXSW London this week as a major partner. Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Donald Mustard are scheduled to discuss their vision for integrated entertainment across film, gaming, and interactive formats.

Looking ahead, AGBO has several significant projects in the pipeline. "The Whisper Man," starring Robert De Niro, is set for release this fall. The highly anticipated "Avengers: Doomsday" will debut on December 18, followed by "Avengers: Secret Wars" in 2027, both co-produced with Marvel Studios. AGBO is also in post-production on "Tygo" and "Mercenary" with Netflix, both expanding the "Extraction" universe, and a "John Rambo" project with Lionsgate. Production for "Extraction 3" is slated to commence this summer in Australia and Thailand.

This strategic restructuring and infusion of diverse talent highlight AGBO's ambitious trajectory to innovate and lead in the ever-evolving global entertainment landscape. By integrating expertise from film, technology, and gaming, the company is poised to create immersive and captivating experiences for a worldwide audience.
