A new opportunity has arisen for fans of the Dragon Quest series, as Square Enix has made a demo for its highly anticipated title, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, immediately available on the eShop. This announcement, initially teased during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation, allows players to get a firsthand experience of the game's mechanics and narrative before its official launch.

This pre-release version of the game offers considerable depth, letting players delve into the initial stages of the story, extending through the events within Witherwood. Participants can engage in core gameplay loops such as monster recruitment, training, and synthesis. A significant feature of this demo is the ability to carry over progress; players can transfer up to eight befriended monsters from their demo save file into the full game upon its release. It is worth noting that only G and F rank monsters can be befriended in this demo, and the bonus content itself is redeemable only in the complete game.
