Juilliard, a renowned institution for performing arts, has announced a significant change in its drama division's leadership. This temporary leadership structure will be implemented following the conclusion of the current academic session.

This shift occurs as Evan Yionoulis, who has led the drama division for eight years as the Richard Rodgers Dean and Director, concludes her tenure to assume a new role at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. The search for a permanent successor is actively underway, with a dedicated committee being formed to identify the next long-term leader. Ara Guzelimian, a former provost at Juilliard and artistic advisor at Carnegie Hall, will return to assume the interim role of Richard Rodgers Dean and Director of the Drama Division. Additionally, faculty members Richard Feldman, Jenny Lord, and alumnus Jimonn Cole will collaboratively serve as interim co-associate deans and directors, focusing on student development in scene study and providing crucial artistic mentorship. Acclaimed actress and Juilliard trustee, Laura Linney, will also contribute her expertise as an artistic advisor to the drama division.
