Uber has committed to deploying a minimum of 20,000 Lucid robotaxis over a six-year period, with ownership and operation handled by Uber or its fleet collaborators. Furthermore, Uber intends to make substantial financial investments into both Lucid and Nuro, reinforcing the long-term vision of this collaboration.

The initial prototype of the Lucid-Nuro autonomous taxi is already undergoing testing at Nuro's facility in Las Vegas.
