Amazon MGM Studios has secured Tyler Nilson, known for his work on "The Peanut Butter Falcon," to direct the cinematic adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' beloved novel, "Counting Miracles." This highly anticipated project features Alan Ritchson in the lead role of Tanner Hughes, an Army Ranger embarking on a poignant journey of self-discovery and familial connection. The film promises a compelling narrative filled with emotional depth, exploring themes of belonging, love, and confronting one's past, all under the skilled direction of Nilson.

The story of "Counting Miracles" centers on Tanner Hughes, an Army Ranger dedicated to comforting the families of fallen soldiers. His path takes an unforeseen turn when a mysterious letter compels him to seek out the father he has never known. This quest leads him to a tranquil small town, where he encounters a doctor who is also a single mother of two. This adaptation is a collaborative effort, with Nilson working alongside Nicholas Sparks himself. Production duties will be handled by Ritchson's Dancing Skeleton banner, Denise Di Novi and Margaret French Isaac of Di Novi Pictures, and Sparks' long-term production partner, Theresa Park. Both Dancing Skeleton and Di Novi Pictures currently hold first-look film agreements with Amazon MGM Studios, while Ritchson has also inked a three-picture acting deal with the company, underscoring the strong creative partnership behind this project.
