Emmy-nominated executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, known for their work on the hit ABC series “Abbott Elementary,” have officially joined United Talent Agency (UTA) for representation across all professional domains. This strategic partnership marks a significant development for the accomplished creative duo, who will continue their long-standing relationship with Warner Bros. Television under their production banner, Delicious Non-Sequitur. Their diverse portfolio showcases their versatility in both comedic and animated productions, solidifying their standing as influential figures in the entertainment industry.

Halpern and Schumacker currently serve as executive producers and co-showrunners for the critically acclaimed ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary.” This popular series, co-created by and starring Quinta Brunson, recently concluded its fifth successful season and has already received an early renewal for a sixth, demonstrating its consistent appeal and critical recognition. The show's consistent quality and engaging storytelling have earned it four consecutive nominations for Best Comedy Series at the prestigious Emmy Awards, further highlighting the duo's significant contributions to its success.

Prior to their current achievements, Halpern and Schumacker demonstrated their creative prowess by co-creating the highly praised HBO Max and DC Entertainment animated series, "Harley Quinn," featuring the voice talent of Kaley Cuoco. Their involvement in the DC universe extended to the spin-off series "Kite Man: Hell Yeah!" and their roles as showrunners for the NBC series "Powerless." Their collaborative efforts also led to the creation of other notable television projects, such as "Surviving Jack" for Fox and "S*** My Dad Says" for CBS, the latter being an adaptation of a book authored by Halpern.

Looking ahead, the prolific pair is set to adapt Halpern’s book, “I Suck at Girls,” into a comedy series for Netflix. In this new venture, they will serve as co-creators and co-showrunners, with Bill Lawrence’s Doozer Productions also on board as an executive producer through its overall deal with WBTV. Additionally, Halpern's debut fiction novel, “Get Lost,” is slated for publication by Hachette Book Group on July 7th. The duo is actively developing this novel for a film adaptation, with plans to direct the feature themselves, showcasing their ambition to expand their creative influence into filmmaking.

Beyond their recent endeavors, Halpern and Schumacker's extensive credits include writing for popular shows such as “iZombie,” “Cougar Town,” and “How to Be a Gentleman.” Their versatility also extends to feature films, as they previously penned the screenplay for “Birthright” for Universal Pictures and Skybound, further underscoring their diverse talents and contributions to various facets of the entertainment landscape.

The move to UTA represents a strategic step for Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, signaling a future filled with continued creative projects and expanded opportunities within the entertainment world. Their consistent track record of developing and producing successful content, from beloved sitcoms to animated series and upcoming film adaptations, solidifies their position as sought-after talents in Hollywood. This new partnership is expected to further enhance their ability to bring innovative and compelling stories to audiences across various platforms.
