The eagerly awaited stage adaptation of 'Thelma & Louise' has unveiled its full cast, promising a captivating theatrical experience at London's Young Vic. This world premiere production brings together a talented ensemble, with Olivier Award nominees Amy Lennox and Rachel Tucker headlining the cast. The musical, rooted in the iconic 1991 film, is set to open the Young Vic's 2026/7 season, blending the familiar narrative with fresh musical interpretations.

The core roles of Thelma and Louise will be embodied by Amy Lennox, recognized for her performances in 'Cabaret' and 'Kinky Boots,' and Rachel Tucker, celebrated for her work in 'Wicked' and 'Come From Away.' Their casting ensures a powerful portrayal of the beloved duo. Complementing them is an array of new talent stepping into key roles. Trevor Dion Nicholas, known for his performances in 'Hercules' and 'Hadestown,' will take on the character of Hal. Jordan Luke Gage, fresh from 'Romeo & Juliet' and 'Bonnie & Clyde,' is cast as JD. Samuel Edwards, with credits in 'Anything Goes' and 'Wicked,' will play Darryl. Alex Gibson-Giorgio joins as Jimmy, having appeared in 'Top Hat' and 'Sinatra The Musical.' Letitia Hector, from 'Tina – The Tina Turner Musical,' will portray Sarah. Tamlyn Henderson, recognized for 'Mamma Mia!' and 'Waitress,' is cast as Harlan/Max, while Jack Butterworth, seen in 'American Psycho,' will play Trooper/Singer. The extensive ensemble further enriches the production with performers like Suzie McAdam, Eleanor Walsh, Alex Given, Kamilla Fernandes, Rushand Chambers, and Joshua Dever.

The creative force behind this musical rendition is equally impressive. Callie Khouri, the original Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning screenwriter of the film, has penned the book for the musical, ensuring the spirit of the original narrative remains intact. The music and lyrics are crafted by the Grammy-nominated artist Neko Case. Guiding the entire production is director Trip Cullman, acclaimed for his work on 'Becky Shaw' and 'Choir Boy.' The show is scheduled to run from September 3 to October 24, marking a significant event in the theatrical calendar.

The production boasts a distinguished creative team responsible for bringing the world of 'Thelma & Louise' to life on stage. Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber are the choreographers, promising dynamic and expressive movement. The scenography is a collaborative effort by Christine Jones and Brett J. Banakis, while Ryan Dawson Laight handles costume design. Natasha Chivers is responsible for the lighting design, and Gareth Owen oversees the sound design. Kimberly Grigsby serves as the musical supervisor, with orchestrations and arrangements by John Clancy, and musical direction by Ed Bussey. This collaborative effort underlines the commitment to delivering a high-caliber theatrical experience.

The musical is a joint venture, a co-production involving the Young Vic, Sonia Friedman Productions, Blue Spruce Productions, Ley Line Entertainment, Callie Khouri, and Mandy Greenfield, presented in association with MGM On Stage. This partnership reflects a strong commitment to bringing this iconic story to the stage with depth and artistic integrity, reimagining the classic film for a new generation of theatergoers.
