Golden Globes Partners with Artemis Rising Foundation and Think-Film Impact Production for Prestigious Documentary Award at Cannes

On May 16, 2026, the Golden Globes, in partnership with the Artemis Rising Foundation and Think-Film Impact Production, declared their renewed collaboration to present the Golden Globes Prize for Documentary. This prestigious award will be conferred at the Cannes Film Festival, celebrating documentary filmmakers who not only have a feature in the 2026 official selection but also consistently address critical social issues throughout their careers, significantly enriching the documentary genre. The esteemed jury panel includes Regina K. Scully, founder and CEO of Artemis Rising Foundation; acclaimed actor Kelvin Harrison Jr.; Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes; Geralyn White Dreyfous, a renowned producer and co-founder of Impact Partners; and Danielle Turkov Wilson, CEO and founder of Think-Film Impact Production. Mariam Fakhroo, a senior executive from the Doha Film Institute, will serve as the jury observer. The winning filmmaker will receive a cash prize from the Artemis Rising Foundation during a celebratory event at the Plage des Palmes on May 18, which will also include discussions and panels highlighting the importance of non-fiction cinema.
