Influence Media Partners, supported by funds managed by BlackRock affiliates, has successfully entered into an agreement to acquire a substantial portion of Anthem Entertainment's assets. This includes their comprehensive music publishing catalogs, film and television publishing rights, and an impressive collection of master recordings. The deal, valued at over $600 million, is expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to standard closing conditions, marking a significant consolidation in the entertainment sector.
This strategic acquisition by Influence Media encompasses a rich and diverse portfolio, featuring over 24,000 released songs and an additional 60,000+ unexploited creative works. The catalog boasts shares in global hits such as Britney Spears' "Oops!... I Did It Again" and Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack," alongside tracks from artists like Timbaland, Cody Johnson, Rush, and OneRepublic. Furthermore, the film and television component includes soundtracks from iconic franchises like "Spider-Man," "Men in Black," and "Lego Ninjago." The financial arrangements for the acquisition were spearheaded by Truist, which provided debt financing and served as financial advisor to Influence Media, while Goldman Sachs acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Anthem.
