Influence Media Partners, supported by funds managed by BlackRock affiliates, has successfully entered into an agreement to acquire a substantial portion of Anthem Entertainment's assets. This includes their comprehensive music publishing catalogs, film and television publishing rights, and an impressive collection of master recordings. The deal, valued at over $600 million, is expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to standard closing conditions, marking a significant consolidation in the entertainment sector.

This strategic acquisition by Influence Media encompasses a rich and diverse portfolio, featuring over 24,000 released songs and an additional 60,000+ unexploited creative works. The catalog boasts shares in global hits such as Britney Spears' "Oops!... I Did It Again" and Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack," alongside tracks from artists like Timbaland, Cody Johnson, Rush, and OneRepublic. Furthermore, the film and television component includes soundtracks from iconic franchises like "Spider-Man," "Men in Black," and "Lego Ninjago." Lylette Pizarro McLean, Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Influence Media, emphasized that this acquisition represents a pivotal moment for the company, integrating music that has become deeply embedded in popular culture, and expressing enthusiasm for future collaborations that will amplify the works and their creators.

Industry leaders have lauded the strategic implications of this transaction. Paul Braude, CIO of Direct Private Opportunities Group at BlackRock, highlighted Anthem's catalog as a prime example of the high-caliber intellectual property assets that BlackRock targets, acknowledging Influence Media's robust platform and deep industry expertise. Jason Klein, CEO of Anthem Entertainment Inc., reflected on the privilege of curating such an extraordinary collection of music over two decades and expressed pride in his team's efforts. The financial arrangements for the acquisition were spearheaded by Truist, which provided debt financing and served as financial advisor to Influence Media, while Goldman Sachs acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Anthem.

This major acquisition not only expands Influence Media's impressive roster, which already includes artists like DJ Khaled, Future, and Enrique Iglesias, but also signals a dynamic period of growth and strategic investment within the music and entertainment industry. By integrating these valuable assets, Influence Media is well-positioned to unlock new opportunities for artists and creative works, ensuring their enduring presence and relevance in a continuously evolving global market.
