Oscar-winning filmmaker and author whose work and commentary explore fantasy, horror, and cinema.

The unconventional culinary contest, "Phoning It In," created by the internet sensation Try Guys, has revealed a new roster of culinary experts and participants for its upcoming fourth season. This innovative program, which tasks renowned chefs with verbally instructing inexperienced comedians through intricate cooking challenges, began streaming on 2nd Try TV earlier this month and is set to debut on YouTube at the end of May, offering audiences a unique blend of humor and gastronomic adventure.

A distinguished panel of judges has been assembled, featuring culinary luminaries such as Chris Ying, Justin Pichetrungsi, Elizabeth Falkner, Jordan Myrick, Jimmy Wong, Jen Yee, Nick Schreiber, and Rie McClenny. They will be joined by previously announced judges Kristen Kish, Josh Scherer, Jonny Manganello, Mitzi Reyes, and Monique Chan. The series' unique format places these seasoned chefs outside the kitchen, relying solely on telephonic communication to guide their comedian counterparts. This season's contestants include Melissa King and Kat Turner, alongside comedians from the TryCast universe: Ash Perez, Ryan Garcia, Jared Popkin, Kwesi James, Ryann Graham, Joyce Louis-Jean, and Rainie Toll. Founding Try Guys members Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld, as well as Miles Bonsignore and Angela Giarratana from "Smosh," are also slated to compete, promising a dynamic and entertaining mix of talent.

As the Try Guys continue to expand their creative empire, their dedication to producing high-quality entertainment is evident in the ongoing success of "Phoning It In." From its origins on YouTube to the establishment of their independent streaming platform, 2nd Try, the group consistently delivers engaging content that celebrates collaboration and embraces unexpected challenges. This commitment not only entertains but also inspires viewers to find joy and growth in pushing boundaries, whether in the kitchen or in life.
